Prior to the release of his upcoming film ‘Runway 34,’ Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a heartfelt video on Instagram in which he answered the question ‘what was that one thing that made you say yes to this film?’ When asked about it, he simply said, ‘Ajay Devgn.’ He went on to talk about their “very long association,” which began with his father, Veeru Devgan. He went on to discuss Veeru Devgan’s contribution to Hindi cinema, recalling previous collaborations.
Veeru Devgan was a Bollywood action choreographer, actor, and film director who worked on over 200 films.
In terms of ‘Runway 34,’ Ajay Devgn directed and produced the film, which is his second directorial venture since ‘Shivaay’ in 2016. The film is based on the true story of Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft that narrowly missed landing at Cochin International Airport on August 18, 2015, due to bad weather and unclear visibility at 5:45 a.m.
The plot of the high-octane thriller drama revolves around Captain Vikrant Khanna, played by Ajay Devgn, and a fateful incident. Simultaneously, we follow Amitabh Bachchan as Narayan Vedant on his quest to discover the truth and his tumultuous encounter with the prodigal pilot.
On April 29, ‘Runway 34,’ starring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar, and Aakanksha Singh, will be released in theatres. ‘Runway 34,’ produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms, is a collaboration between Kumar Mangat Pathak, Vikrant Sharma, Sandeep Harish Kewlani, Tarlok Singh Jethi, Hasnain Husaini, and Jay Kanujia.
