Tata Power Solar doubles production capacity to 1100 MW

Tata Power Solar on Wednesday said it doubled its production capacity of solar cells and solar module to 1100 MW.

Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd … has announced a major expansion of its state-of-the-art production facility in Bengaluru, taking the total production of cells and modules to 1100 MW,” the company said in a statement.
The expansion is based on a significant increase in the demand for its solar modules, as well as an expected increase in demand due to supportive policy measures announced by government through the creation of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat‘, it said.

“We are excited to increase our production capacity to meet the growing demand for our products. Our 31 years of strong experience in delivering high quality solar products and continued involvement in new technologies have helped us maintain a leadership position in both solar production services and EPC services, ”said Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, said Tata Power.

Tata Power Solar Production Center in Bengaluru is an integrated Premier production facility that incorporates the highest standards in the industry, the statement added.
The company’s revenue was Rs 2,353 crore according to the December 2020 average of audited funds and the pending book of Rs 10,000 crore as of April 1, 2021.
