Relief to actress Shilpa- Pornography case: A court in Mumbai today granted bail to actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra in a pornographic film case. Ryan Thorpe also got bail with Kundra. The court granted bond to Kundra on a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

On Saturday, Kundra filed for bail claiming he had become a “scapegoat” ( Relief to actress Shilpa ). There is no evidence against him in the indictment filed in the case. Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19. A case is registered against him under various articles of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.

The Mumbai Crime Branch, which is investigating the case, filed an additional indictment on September 15 against Kundra and three others for allegedly making pornographic films and playing them using certain apps.

According to the indictment, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty claimed in a statement to Mumbai police that she was not aware of her husband Raj Kundra’s activities as she was busy with her job.

According to the indictment, Shetty told police she knew nothing about Hotshots and the Bollywood Fame app, which were allegedly used by the accused to download and stream objectionable content.

Actress Sherlyn Chopra told police in her statement that Kundra asked her to work for the Hotshots app “without hesitation.”
