Registration for PUBG Mobile India Avatar Battlegrounds Begins May 18 in Google Play Store

Battlegrounds Mobile India will prepare for pre-registration from May 18 via the Google Play store. The news was shared with the developer on Friday on his website.

The Indian version of PUBG Mobile, which was banned in the country back in September 2020, Battlegrounds Mobile India was developed by South Korean game developer Krafton and announced last week with its official name and new privacy policy. While we finally have a pre-registration date, there is no game release date yet.

Krafton announced in a post on his website that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be preparing for pre-registration from May 18 through the Google Play store.

The developer also shared that those who previously registered will receive certain unwanted rewards when the game officially starts. As mentioned, Krafton does not yet have a release date for the game. However, he mocked one of the maps that will be available in the game – which appears to be the famous 4×4 map from PUBG Mobile – Sanhok. Or, it may not be called Sanhok.

Last week, Battlegrounds Mobile India was officially launched by Krafton and came up with an updated privacy policy. According to the policy, players under the age of 18 will need to obtain permission from their custodial parent to be able to play the game.

Parents or guardians who feel that their child has provided personal information without their consent may contact the developers and request that the information be removed from the system.

Battlegrounds Mobile India will have the same gameplay as PUBG Mobile but comes with some Indian features. It will come with special in-game events that bring new clothes and features.

The developer says the game will start again with its esports program which will include tournaments and leagues. Mobile India’s battlefields will be in the country only.

PUBG Mobile was shut down in India last September along with 117 other applications. Since then, the ownership of the game has changed and Krafton has been trying to re-introduce it in India. Now, finally, it is successful and Indian fans are close to playing this game again, however with a new avatar.
