Rajasthan Board postponed Class 10th, 12th Board Exams

The Rajasthan Board of School Education (RBSE), Ajmer has decided to postpone the 10th and 12th board exams. Students in classes 8, 9, and 11 will also be promoted to subsequent classes without taking annual examinations.

The decision came after discussions between the prime minister and the state minister of education shortly after the CBSE cancelled the matric exams and postponed the 12th class exams. The government’s decision to set up board exams in the future is expected to have implications for provinces and districts. CISCE has also said it will reconsider its board exams.

Earlier, the Rajasthan government had announced that it would promote students in subjects from 1 to 7 without exams.
More than 20 lakh students appeared in RBSE class 10, 12 exams every year. New board exam dates have not been announced. However, these tests are expected to be done after the status of COVID-19 will be under control by the government. This year, board exams will be held based on a reduced plan. The syllabus is 30 percent reduced.
