Rajamouli to present South versions of ‘Brahmastra’

Rajamouli- Renowned SS filmmaker Rajamouli announced on Saturday that he would present Ranbir Kapoor-starrer’s magnum opus “Brahmastra” in southern languages.

Billed as a trilogy, the long-awaited big-budget fantasy adventure epic is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and supported by filmmaker Karan Johar. The 48-year-old filmmaker said he was delighted to present the film to audiences around the world in all four languages.

He further stated that he could relate to the cinematic journey of “Brahmastra” as it reminded him of his own blockbusters – “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017).

The first part of “Brahmastra” will mark the beginning of a new original cinematic universe – the Astraverse. “Brahmastra” features Ranbir as Shiva, a man endowed with supernatural powers, Alia Bhatt plays his love and the megastar Amitabh Bachchan as his guru ji.

Johar said the film, which ran for several years, is the most ambitious and visionary project he has ever been involved in and believes it deserves an imprint in several Indian languages.
