Rajamouli- Renowned SS filmmaker Rajamouli announced on Saturday that he would present Ranbir Kapoor-starrer’s magnum opus “Brahmastra” in southern languages.
Billed as a trilogy, the long-awaited big-budget fantasy adventure epic is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and supported by filmmaker Karan Johar. The 48-year-old filmmaker said he was delighted to present the film to audiences around the world in all four languages.
“Ayan’s vision is a new chapter in Indian cinema.
I am proud to be associated with Dharma Productions again after“ Baahubali ”. Karan has a deep understanding and sensitivity for good films and I am proud of myself. partner again with him and with Fox Star Studios to present this film, ”Rajamouli said in a statement.
He further stated that he could relate to the cinematic journey of “Brahmastra” as it reminded him of his own blockbusters – “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017).
“The concept of ‘Brahmastra’ is unique, which is reflected in its history and presentation. The film perfectly blends themes of ancient Indian culture with modern technology, and with cutting-edge visual effects that will blow your mind!

The first part of “Brahmastra” will mark the beginning of a new original cinematic universe – the Astraverse. It draws on concepts and tales deeply rooted in Indian mythology, but takes place in the modern world, with an epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good versus evil, love and hope. ; all using cutting-edge technology and never-before-seen visual shows, the official synopsis read.
“Brahmastra” features Ranbir as Shiva, a man endowed with supernatural powers, Alia Bhatt plays his love and the megastar Amitabh Bachchan as his guru ji.
Johar said the film, which ran for several years, is the most ambitious and visionary project he has ever been involved in and believes it deserves an imprint in several Indian languages.
“‘Brahmastra’ is Ayan’s vision, his baby that he has nurtured and the result and presentation is extraordinary and universal. No one better than the genius storyteller, Rajamouli Garu, to partner with on ‘Brahmastra’ to achieve that same vision! Mukerji, known for films such as “Wake Up Sid” and “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”, said that “Brahmastra” was a dream he had entertained for years. He added that he was blessed that Rajamouli presented his film.

The magnum opus also features South star Nagarjuna Akkineni and actor Mouni Roy in key roles. Akkineni, 62, said he had a fantastic experience working with Mukerji and the “Brahmastra” team.
