Corona cases are on the rise in the country and there are also questions regarding the safety of IPL players. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has tightened the rules for Bio Bubble. The BCCI has also tightened the corona testing process for cricketers. Cricketers will now have a corona test every other day. Previously, players had to undergo a corona test every five days.
Along with this, the BCCI has also banned players from ordering food outside the hotel. IPL COO Hemang Amin said that previous players were allowed to order food from some hotels before the tournament, but now this facility has been removed. Now cricketers will only eat food that they have inside the hotel.
Some foreign players left the IPL halfway.
It should be noted that there are questions about the conduct of IPL amid the increase in corona cases in the country. At the same time, some foreign cricketers left the IPL in the middle and left. After that, there was a crisis on the IPL, but the BCCI made it clear that the IPL would continue and that it would not be canceled.
Hemang Amin recently wrote an email to IPL 8 Franchises. He said in the email that given the current situation in India some concerns, questions and the withdrawal of some cricketers are understandable. We respect the decision of the cricketers. He said the bio bubble is made more secure to address the concerns of all stakeholders. Amin assured players to be completely safe in the bio bubble.
