NEET UG Aspirant Urged: “Don’t compare NEET with the unit test.”

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) (Undergraduate) 2022 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 17. Students have been requesting a postponement of NEET UG to at least September ever since the exam date was announced.

However, when asked lately about the demands of the students, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan responded, “Students are always anxious.” In his speech at the India Today Education Conclave, he noted that students are constantly concerned. All of our senior principals and educators are present, and they address this issue every month.

“Every month there is an evaluation, every month there is an examination, students come to them, ‘madam this not done, I have not prepared, please extend that’. They are facing it every month, I am facing it annually,” the Education Minister said.

The candidates for the medical entrance exam appear to have taken issue with Dharmendra Pradhan’s remarks, accusing the Union Minister of “making fun of the genuine demand of the students.”

A user of Twitter remarked, “Observe how the education minister speaks as if he is an expert on the crisis facing children. How, when we are not, can he be so certain about our readiness? How is preparing possible when there isn’t time? Whenever did he make an entrance?”

Another user said, “…Unit test ko NEET se compare kr diya, students ki genuine problems ko sarcastically address kiya, at least seriously mature person ki tarah bol dete nhi ho skta postpone… thodi maturity dikhaiye”

Another candidate remarked,”I can’t understand! R u serious!.. Are we students a joke! He is saying we say this annually. Its bcoz u r unfair annually. Our stress, our anxiety meant nothing to them. Even if few students are ending their life, if its not affecting thier political career then its totally fine.”

The Union Education Minister responded, “I think, a majority of students have already prepared to face the examination,” when asked about the prospect of extending the NEET UG exam date.

NEET UG 2022 qualifiers will be admitted to the MBBS, BDS, BAMS, Bachelor of Ayurveda, BSMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BSc (H) Nursing programmes.
