NTA to the Supreme Court
Failure to report CBSE Private, Compartment and Patrachar exam results for Class XII will not prevent these students from taking the NEET-UG exam, the National Testing Agency told the Supreme Court on Friday. On the issue of the inability of applicant students to sit for the NEET UG exam scheduled for September 12, the NTA told the Supreme Court that failure to report results will not prevent students from taking the exam. examination and that the results will only be required during counseling.

Argument filed by lawyer Sumanth Nookala
The court considered the petition as well as another petition (Shashank Singh v. Union of India) which requested instructions to change the date sheet of the CBSE compartment, private and patrachar exams and to report their results early so that they do not conflict with other admission tests. The plea filed by lawyer Sumanth Nookala called for the rescission of the public notice scheduling NEET UG-2021 on 12.09.2021 as being patently arbitrary and contrary to Article 14 of the Indian Constitution. (Sanjana & Ors vs National Testing Agency & Ors).

The entrance medical examination to the UG is scheduled for September 12. In addition, the National Union of Indian Students (NSUI) had written to the Union’s Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, to raise the issue. The NSUI said NEET 2021 should be rescheduled to give a window of at least 7-14 days for students to prepare for different exams.

Thousands of students sign online petition to change the date of the NEET UG exam
More than 1,400 students have signed an online petition on change.org demanding the postponement of NEET 2021. On the other hand, the NTA said the exam will go ahead as scheduled. While signing the petition, the students said that the date for the undergraduate medical entrance exam is clashing with many other UG entrance exams nationally and nationally and private CBSE exams. To avoid this clash and have enough time to prepare for NEET-UG 2021, they urge the government to postpone the review until October from September 12.

Besides this online petition, there are many other online campaigns underway on social media platforms with a complaint that the date conflicts with other reviews. However, despite requests from students and seniors, the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Union’s Department of Education recently confirmed that the scheduled exam date for NEET-UG will no longer change and that it will take place on September 12 (NEET UG 2021 Postponement).
