A bench consisting of Judge AM Khanwilkar, Judge Hrishikesh Roy and Judge CT Ravikumar heard a motion in brief filed for the postponement of NEET UG21 to a date subsequent to the declaration of the CBSE compartment / private / patrachar exams.
Filed in the Supreme Court, the plea sought the annulment of the public notice setting the NEET UG-2021 date to be held on September 12.
After hearing the case declared by the NTA, the supreme magistrate said orally to the applicant’s lawyer: “Your grievance is that further examinations will begin and your result is not declared. The relief requested is not necessary because the authorities say that you will be allowed to appear”.

The Supreme Court also heard another motion in brief which asked for instructions to change the date sheet of the CBSE compartment, private exams and patrachar and to report the results early so that they do not conflict with others. entrance tests. However, the Supreme Court adjourned the pleas to September 6 for a new hearing.

In argument, the petitioners argued that NEET UG’s timeline clearly hampers a segment of candidates. They also argued that although authorities have granted relief to similar exams such as JEE Mains 2021 by postponing the 4th exam session, no such accommodation has been extended to NEET UG candidates despite repeated requests. via various modes.
