NEET 2021: Check out the syllabus for the Medical Entrance; exam on August 1

New Delhi: Medical entrance examination for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS,etc. courses will be on August 1. More than 10 people apply for medical examinations each year. Last year, a total of 15,97,435 people were selected to register for NEET, and in 2019 a total of 15,19,375 registered for NEET.

Tests will be held in offline mode and only once a year. Earlier, it was speculated that the exam would be held twice. But, after discussions between the Department of Health and the Department of Education, it was decided to hold NEET only once this year.

It is expected that the exam will have a lot of questions. So, internal choices will be provided to the students in the exam. The syllabus remains the same. For students from NEET 2021, the syllabus will be as-

PHYSICS

Class 11 — Physical world and measurement, Kinematics, Work, Energy and Power, Laws of Motion, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Thermodynamics, Oscillations and Waves.

Class 12 –Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Devices.

CHEMISTRY

Class 11 –Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Redox Reactions, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Hydrogen, s-Block Element (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), Some p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry- Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry.

Class 12– Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p- Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Phenols and Ethers, Coordination Compounds, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.

BIOLOGY

Class 11 – Organization of Plant and Biological Structures, Differences in Living World, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology.

Class 12 -Genetics and Evolution, Reproduction, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and Its Application, Environment and Ecology.

Pattern of the exam:

According to the usual pattern, NEET has 180 optional questions (MCQs), 45 each based on physics and chemistry, each with 90 from Biology. The total marks will be 720 and the test duration will be three hours.

For each correct answer, students are given four marks. For every wrong answer, one mark is drawn. NEET is available in 11 languages ​​including English and Hindi. Students may select any one NEET question paper option in the application form. The option cannot be changed after selection.
