The Mi 11 series will be launched in India on April 23, with Xiaomi Global Vice President Manu Kumar Jain sharing on Twitter. The Mi 11 Ultra was the only phone reserved to launch in India on April 23 earlier, but it looks like most phones of the Mi 11 series will be launched separately. T
he Mi 11 series first appeared in China in December last year with the Vanilla Mi 11, which was launched worldwide on February 8. Late last month, the Mi 11 Ultra and two other Mi 11 series phones were launched in China.
Jain’s tweet featured in the Mi 11 series teaser video discusses some of the features of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and goes on to say “not 1, but many My phones” and SoC will present it in India. It also said the Mi 11 series would be launched in India on April 23, which had previously been ridiculed as the launch date of the Mi 11 Ultra.
There are five phones in the Mi 11 series where the Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, and Mi 11i are powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC. So far, it is unclear which of these four phones will be unlocked in India, or whether all five models including the MI 11 Lite will be available.
The Mi 11 Lite is the only wire in the series powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC. It’s also a cheap Mi 11 series phone.
Currently, only the Mi 11 Ultra is guaranteed to be launched in the country on April 23. It features a basic 6.81-inch 2K WQHD + E4 quad-curved display and a second 1.1-inch AMOLED display on the back.
It is always shown on the back and is said to be the same as My Smart Band 5. Earlier this month, it was announced that the Mi 11 Ultra will have an initial price of more than a dollar. 70,000 when it was launched in India.
In China, the Mi 11 Ultra was introduced at the initial price of CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs. 67,000) for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.
It also comes with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option on CNY 6,499 (approximately Rs. 72,600) and a high-end 12GB RAM + 512GB model on CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 78,200).
