Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV): Admissions to begin from April 1 for 2021-22 Session

The online registration process for admission to class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) for the 2021-2022 academic year will begin on April 1. Registration for Class 2 and above will take place from April 8 in offline mode. The information is provided by the department of education in an official statement.

For Class 1, online enrollment will begin at 10 a.m. on April 1 and will close at 7 a.m. on April 19. Grade 2 enrollments and above will be invited on the basis of seats available from April 8, 8:00 am to April 15. until 4:00 p.m. In Class 1, the admission process will be held online and in Class 2 it will continue to be held in offline mode.

The parents can download the app, ‘KVS online’ in Google Play Store for online admission. In Section 11, registration forms can be downloaded from the Vidyalaya website – kvsangathan.nic.in.

For admission of students, age will be considered from March 31. The child must be five years old from March 31 in order to be admitted to class 1. The maximum age is 7 years. In class 2 the maximum age is 8 years and grade 9 is 11 years and therefore up to 16 years in class 12. The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in the event of children being raised differently by the principal. In addition, there is no limit to the age of admission to Class 11 as long as the student wants admission in the year of passing the 10th grade examination. Accordingly, there will be no upper and lower age limit for admission to class 12 as long as there is no break in further student study after passing grade 11.

Currently, there are a total of 1247 Kendriya Vidyalayas nationwide.
