New Delhi: Now Indian travelers who have taken Covaxin jab will be eligible to travel to Britain as the country has said it will recognize Covid-19 vaccines on the Organization’s emergency use list World Health Organization later this month.

The approved list of vaccines for inbound travelers includes Chinese Sinovac, Sinopharm and Indian Covaxin vaccines. The changes will take effect from November 22 and are expected to benefit fully vaccinated people in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and India, according to Reuters.

In fact, the travel rules have been further simplified, people under the age of 18, who have been fully vaccinated, will be able to enter England without isolating themselves on arrival, the transport department said on Monday.

From October 11, Indian travelers who have received both doses of Covishield or another UK approved vaccine at least 14 days before arriving in the UK can travel without having to go into quarantine; and are not required to take a pre-departure test or an eighth-day post-arrival test, authorities said last month.

According to the new UK guidelines on approved Covid-19 vaccines and proof of vaccination required, India would be added to a “list of countries and territories with proof of approved vaccination [from] 4 a.m. [on] Monday 11 October โ€.

In its updated travel rules, the UK has also removed 47 countries and territories from its โ€œred listโ€. From October 11, the Red List will be reduced to seven countries, and proof of vaccination will be recognized in 37 new countries and territories, including India, Brazil, Ghana, Hong Kong, Pakistan, South Africa. South and Turkey.
