India Records 3,43,144 Covid cases In The Last 24 Hours & 4K People Succumb To Virus

The government on Thursday said the virus could recur and that preparations should be made at the national level in collaboration with countries. V K Paul, Member (Health), Niti Aayog, said more than two billion doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be available in the country in five months between August and December.

Covid In India: India reports 3,43,144 new COVID 19 cases, 3,44,776 discharges and 4,000 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per Union Health Ministry.

The Indian Council of Medical Research has announced that 31,13,24,100 samples have been tested in the country as of May 13, including 18,75,515 samples tested yesterday.

Maharashtra reported 42,582 new cases of COVID-19 while another 850 patients contracted the disease, the state Department of Health reported.

With an increase of 42,582 cases on COVID-19 on Thursday (May 13), down from 46,781 on Wednesday (May 12), state cases increased to 52,69,292, with the death toll reaching 78,857, he said.

The national capital registered 10,489 new cases of Covid-19 and 308 deaths on Thursday, with a positive recovery rate of 14.24%, which is the lowest for the month, according to the Delhi Department of Health.

Kerala recorded 39,955 new Covid cases on Thursday. 97 deaths have been confirmed due to Coronavirus infection. As a result, the death toll rose to 6150. The strength of the test was recorded at 28.61 percent.

The Karnataka Department of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday linked another 527 people in the past few days with Covid-19, as the death toll rose to 20,368 from March 10 last year. The daily test rate is projected to be 29.67 percent from across the country in the last 24 hours.
