New Delhi: After reporting fewer than 10,000 coronavirus cases on Tuesday, India saw a slight increase in infections. The country has registered 10,197 new cases in the past 24 hours. A total of 12,134 patients have recovered from the virus while 301 people have lost their lives in the past 24 hours.

The country’s number of active cases now stands at 1,28,555, the lowest in 527 days. The daily positivity rate (0.82%) is less than 2% in the past 44 days. The weekly positivity rate (0.96%) is less than 2% for the last 54 days.

Kerala

Kerala recorded 5,516 new coronavirus infections and 210 deaths on Tuesday, bringing the number of cases to 50 71,135 and the number of deaths to 36,087.

With an additional 6,705 people recovered from the virus since Monday, total recoveries have reached 49 71,080 and active cases have fallen to 63,338, according to an official press release.

Of the 210 deaths, 39 have been reported in the past few days and 171 have been designated as COVID-19 deaths after receiving appeals based on new guidelines from the Center and instructions from the Supreme Court, he said. -he indicates.
