Apple has announced a new app for iPhone 12 and iPhone12 Pro users who are experiencing audio problems on their devices.
Cupertino-giant has found that a small percentage of 6.1-inch devices that include the iPhone 12 and iPhone12 Pro can deal with audio problems.
Audio problems may occur while making calls and several users simply report similar issues with their iPhone 12 and their iPhone 12 Pro. Apple said calls made in October 2020 and April 2021 deal with the issue. However, the new service plan will replace the faulty ear for free.
“Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices may have audio problems due to a potential failure in the receiver modules.
Affected equipment was made between October 2020 and April 2021.
If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not make sound to the receiver when you make or receive calls, it may be ready for delivery, ”Apple said on its support page.
The user can configure their Apple devices at Apple or any other qualified Apple service provider to service the devices for free. Notably, only the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are part of the service plan.
The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max models are not part of this program.

You can also contact Apple Support to set up a mail delivery service via the Apple Repair Center. Don’t forget to back up your iPhone to iCloud or your computer before giving your phone a service.
Apple on its support page states that if a compatible iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro has damage that could prevent repairs such as a cracked screen, the user will need to resolve the issue before handing over the phone.
In some cases, there may be costs associated with additional repairs.
“Apple may reduce or impose restrictions on the first country or region of purchase.
This global Apple app does not extend to standard coverage of iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro.
