HP landslide: A tragic incident took the life of Jaipur nature lover Deepa Sharma, who was enjoying a trip to Himachal just before her birthday this year. Ayurvedic doctor Deepa Sharma, who also participated in Kaun Banega Crorepati in 2013, was among nine tourists who died Sunday afternoon in a landslide in Sangla Valley, Kinnaur District, Himachal Pradesh.

In her last tweet, which Deepa Sharma posted minutes before the horrific incident, she wrote: “… standing at the last point in India where civilians are allowed.

In her Twitter account, Sharma described herself as an ordinary but unique human who evolves daily and writes as well. The young doctor’s Twitter feed was filled with clicks from the visit to Himachal and the last photo shows her happily posing at the ITBP checkpoint in Nagasti at 12:59 pm. According to reports, several landslides occurred near Basteri on the Sangla-Chitkul road at 1:25 p.m., just minutes after the doctor shared the photo on the social media platform.

One of journalist Aditya Raj Kaul’s tweets mentioned his appearance on the 2013 game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. While expressing shock at the sudden death, Kaul said the doctor had contacted him recently and asked for his emergency number during Covid-19.

Several terrifying videos of the incident have surfaced, showing large chunks of rock peeling off a mountain top and tumbling down into the valley. Nature’s fury also led to a section of the bridge collapsing and falling into a river after a boulder struck it.

Landslides caused a bridge to collapse, damaging vehicles. “Life is nothing without Mother Nature,” the doctor posted in one of his previous tweets.

In fact, several people have expressed their shock and condolences have flowed to the family of the doctor, who lost his life in the incident. Deepa on her Twitter account mentioned that she was planning to celebrate her birthday on the 29th of this month is close to “nature, greenery and the river”.
