- National Hydrogen Mission
The announcement of the launch of a new national Hydrogen mission was made on the occasion of Independence Day. In his speech, Prime Minister Modi explained how green hydrogen can be useful for the country in managing the climate crisis. The major objective of this mission will be to transform India into a global hub for the production of green hydrogen and to create more jobs.
- Repeal of Agricultural Laws
The three farm laws introduced in September last year by the government sparked discontent among farmers who demonstrated for more than a year at Delhi’s borders for its repeal. On the occasion of the Gurupurab, Prime Minister Modi came forward to announce the repeal of three agricultural laws. In his speech, he said the government has failed to convince farmers of the benefits of these laws in the area of agricultural reform.
- Sainik schools for girls
Another important announcement was made in the Prime Minister’s speech to the nation on Independence Day. The Prime Minister announced that from the 2021-2022 session, girls will also be allowed to attend Sainik schools. 33 Sainik schools are managed in the country by the Society of Sainik Schools headed by the Ministry of Defense. They were established to prepare young people for entry into the National Defense Academy (NDA) and the Indian Naval Academy (INA).
- Gati Shakti – National Master Plan
The next big project announced by the Prime Minister was for a national infrastructure master plan – the Gati Shakti Yojana. It’s a 100 crore plan to elevate local entrepreneurs to a global level. This plan also aims to chart an integrated and holistic path towards our economy by removing all obstacles.
- 75 Vande Bharat Trains
This project was presented under the banner of the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav mass celebration. During the 75-week celebration, Prime Minister Modi announced that 75 Vande Bharat trains would run to connect all places in the country.
