GATE 2021: Results announced, approximately 17.82% Passed; Check result through direct link

Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test For Engineering on its official website, gate.iitb.ac.in. The number of people registered for the GATE 2021 examination was 7, 11,542. Of these, a total of 1,26,813 eligible students, i.e., approximately 17.82%.

Percentage of students eligible for individual papers varied from 8.42% to 29.54%. Of the total eligible candidates for GATE 2021, 98732 male and 28081 female candidates, IIT-Bombay notified.

The official GATE 2021 Scorecard can be downloaded from the GOAPS portal between March 30 and June 30, 2021. Voters will be able to check their detailed results once, and the points card window opens.

Depending on the GATE points candidates may want to enter M.Tech courses at all IIT, IISc, and other colleges. Also, the GATE rating is the gateway to PSU jobs. GATE School is valid for three years from the date of the announcement.

Now, as the results are announced further rounds of admission to M.Tech and PSUs, candidates will have to appear in a round interview. Personal assessments or interview cycles will vary for all college enrollments and careers depending on the questions asked and information on topics and eligibility requirements.

The result was scheduled to be released on March 22 but announced earlier.

GATE Result 2021 Direct Link Result:

A total of 8,82,684 students applied for the exam this year, a slight increase from 8.59 lakh last year. This increase is also due to the introduction of two new courses in GATE 2021. This year, humanitarian students were also allowed to appear in the 14,196 student application.

GATE 2021 was held on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14, held on COVID protection measures. This year, two new tests have been added to the list of papers that take a total of 27 papers. New additional subjects are ES (Environmental Science and Engineering) and XH (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Economics / English / Linguistics / Philosophy / Psychology / Social. In addition, the curriculum list for all subjects has been updated this year. The paper pattern has also been modified to add multiple selected questions (MSQs) to a range of numerical answers and multiple choice questions.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2021 were also flexible as they allowed candidates who were studying for a third year or more of their undergraduate degree programs to apply for a the course. In addition to students who will enroll in science broadcasting, students from the commercial and arts fields are also allowed to appear in the exam. The testing center this year was IIT-Bombay.
