“As a result, residents living two miles [3 km] around the factory complain of shortness of breath and eye irritation for several hours,” he said.
A local resident said residents living nearby began to have difficulty breathing and later became aware of a gas leak in the factory.

“I, along with some of my colleagues, was working at a nearby factory. Soon, we began to have trouble breathing. Later, we learned that there was a gas leak at a local factory,” a man from Badlapur of Maharashtra was quoted as saying.
