Friendship Day 2021: Snapchat introduces new lenses to help you celebrate with your friends

Snapchat has introduced a set of new lenses or filters to celebrate Friendship Day 2021. Exciting new lenses will allow users to share visual hugs, fun moments, and other conversations with their friends on the platform.

Lenses are designed for friends to express themselves easily and to create memorable moments together.

Snapchats can share a tangible hug, entertain their friends by telling a short story about them, answering interesting questions or simply sharing the qualities they value to their friends with these lenses.

While physically far away, Snapchatters is being tested and keeps their communication strong.

According to the second publisher of Snapchat’s Friendship Report, COVID-19 also accelerated the value of digital connectivity in India by almost 91 percent saying they helped friends maintain their relationships, regardless of age and 76 percent of those surveyed, discussions were in-depth, rather than focused on high-level topics.

Users can choose to scan the ‘Spap’ code with their Snapchat camera app to access these lenses. All of these lenses can be opened for a limited time, from 24 hours to 48 hours. The lenses allow a variety of games to be played using the camera.

Here’s how to get access to these new lenses:

Open the Snapchat app and switch to the rear camera.
Tap on the screen and point it to one of the codes. The camera should scan.

  • It will show that the new lens has been detected and opened 24 hours or 48 hours depending on the filter.
  • Now work with Lense and try it out before the date of friendship.
  • Just to run your memory, Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August, which falls on August 1 this year.

Snapchat simply adds a range of new filters around the upcoming festivals and events, and Friendship Day Lens doesn’t surprise us much.

Just a week ago, Snapchat unveiled the Olympic Cameos in the Sticker drawer and Chat, which will be available to users at all Tokyo Games.

The launch was aimed at Snapchat users, enabling them to support their country and show more love for their favorite Olympic games.

To reinforce the need for such an introduction, Snapchat says platform users love games with over 85 million users watching sports-based content every month.
