England players- IPL 2021: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has indicated that English players (England players) may be available in the second phase of IPL 2021. The ECB also expects Cricket Australia to talk to cricketers to keep families together during the ashes.
Tom Harrison, Managing Director of the ECB, said: “In view of the honor of the IPL, we are in discussions with our players. The postponement of the tour to Bangladesh will allow the players to be available in the IPL . “
He added: “The players have to manage their schedules due to their busy schedules. This round of talks is ongoing. But any decision will only be made after talking to the players.”
Note that England was to tour Bangladesh in September-October for a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches. However, this period has now been postponed to March 2023. After that, the way has been opened for English players to play in the IPL. Harrison also confirmed that the English board is in talks with Cricket Australia.
Many England players are part of the IPL
It should be noted that many English players are part of IPL. Star players like Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan, Sam Curran, Liam Plunkett, Sam Billings, Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan are part of the IPL (England players).
