Eng Vs Ind, 1st Test Preview: Everything You Need To Know | Play XI expected | Weather forecast

India vs England Test Series Preview: Find out India’s Predicted Playing XI, Weather Forecast, and other details about the ENG Vs IND 1st Test.

Nottingham: The Indian team enters the pitch at Trent-Bridge in the first round of 5-game testing on Wednesday, August 4th. The Indian team has been in England since the World Test Championship (WTC) final. India vs England Pataudi Trophy, which starts tomorrow marks the start of a new WTC cycle for India. In this round, India will face England, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Australia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh between August 2021 and June 2023.

This 5-game series is the longest series in the WTC cycle. The Indian team played a practice match against County XI from July 20-22. The 4-day practice match was a good outing for India. The outstanding performance came from KL Rahul, at-bat in mid-order who scored 101 points. With Mayank Agarwal injured, it seems likely that KL Rahul will open the sleeves with Rohit Sharma.

Hanuma Vihari is also a candidate who could open the sleeves for India, having previously played county cricket in England. India’s recent test against SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) suggests India has a poor first game against these countries. Ravi Shastri’s men are said to be eager to change that perception of the team with a strong performance in the first test match.

Aside from the opener fiasco, the other decision Virat will have to make will be the fast bowlers. Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah are two fixed players while Kohli will choose between Ishant, Siraj and Thakur.

Weather forecast

The weather in Nottingham is expected to be cloudy on Day 1. The sun will be out on Wednesday, but all subsequent days are expected to see rainfall in Nottingham according to Accuweather. It looks like the first test match is going to be a “start-stop” affair
