Delhi UG University’s cut-off schedule is expected to be released next week: Officials

Delhi University officials will be holding a series of meetings with college principals to finalise the cut-off schedule that is likely to be released by next week, officials said on Saturday.

The university plans to publish its first deadline on October 1 to welcome students who sit for advanced or compartment exams, they added.

Professor Rajeev Gupta, chairman of the university’s admissions committee, said: “We will finalize the deadline schedule very soon. October 1 is a tentative date for the first deadline. We plan to publish the deadline on that day. We will be holding meetings with college directors and node officers to finalize the Delhi UG University’s cut-off schedule. “

He said they plan to release a cutoff schedule for at least five cuts by next week.

A university director, requesting anonymity, said they had started holding meetings at their level to analyze the trend of the cutoff.

Another director said he had not yet received the application data from the university and would decide accordingly.

Most principals were unanimous that the thresholds would be higher this time around, with more students scoring over 95% this year on Central Council for Secondary Education (CBSE) exams.

Over 2.87 lakh students applied for Delhi University undergraduate courses, up from 3.53 lakh applications last year, with the maximum CBSE aspirants.

Over 2.29 lakh applicants come from schools affiliated with the CBSE, followed by the Board of School Education Haryana (9,918), the Council for the Indian School Certification Examination (9,659) and the UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education (8,007).
