Covid: Less than 5000 cases of covid in Delhi today

Covid 19 Cases in Delhi: Decline in new coronavirus cases continues in the nation’s capital Delhi. On Thursday, fewer than 5,000 cases were reported in the city after 26 days. According to data released by the Health Ministry around 7 p.m., 4,291 new cases arrived in Delhi and 34 patients died. At the same time, 9397 patients recovered from the infection. Currently, there are 33,175 active patients in the city. At the same time, the infection rate rose to 9.56%.

There were 7498 cases of corona infection in Delhi on Wednesday, 6028 on Tuesday, 5760 on Monday, 9197 on Sunday, 11486 on Saturday and 10756 on Friday. So far, 1815288 people have been infected with corona in the city and 1756369 people have recovered from the infection and 25744 have died.

On January 4, 5481 cases were confirmed. The infection rate that day was 8.37%. At the same time, the day before, January 3, 4099 cases were confirmed. The infection rate was recorded at 6.46% that day. After that, the corona cases continued to increase and on January 13 there were 28,867 cases, which was the highest number of cases since the start of the corona outbreak.

However, after many restrictions were announced, cases began to decline. In view of this, the restrictions have now been reduced. The decision to reduce the restrictions was taken at the DDMA meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday. The official said the final decision on whether to open schools will be taken at the next meeting.

The decision of the DDMA

  1. The opening of stores will be stopped on the basis of even-odd system in Delhi.
  2. The weekend curfew has been lifted.
  3. The night curfew, applicable from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., will continue.
  4. In government offices, work can be done with 50% staff.
  5. Permission to open theaters and theaters with 50% capacity.
  6. During wedding ceremonies, 50% of the room capacity (maximum 200) will be allowed.
