‘Bulldozers Of Hate’: Opposition Slams Centre Over Demolition Drive In Violence Hit-Jahangirpuri

In the midst of the encroachment drive in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri, the opposition, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AIMIM chairman Asaduddin Owaisi, launched an attack on the administration on Wednesday.

While hearing the case today, the Supreme Court suspended MCD’s move with immediate effect, while the politicians’ war of words has escalated.

Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and stated, “This is an attack on India’s constitutional ideals. This is state-sponsored discrimination against the poor and minorities. Instead, the BJP must bulldoze the enmity in their hearts.”

AIMIM leader Owaisi said, BJP has waged a war against the poor. Like UP and MP, houses will be demolished in Delhi in the name of encroachment. No notice, no chance to go to court… this is only a punishment for poor Muslims.

“Turkman Gate 2022, history tells you those in power in 1976 are a spent force in present times, this BJP & AAP should be remember. Power is not eternal [sic],” he tweeted.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Gehlot slammed the BJP government, stating, “People in positions of power should put a halt to attempts to incite violence and condemn it. However, the opposite is occurring.”

In reference to the Ram Navami communal event in Rajasthan’s Karauli. “I have heard that the PM is phoning MPs from Rajasthan and asking them what they were doing,” Gehlot remarked.

Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, also expressed his displeasure with the bulldozers, tweeting that there is fury across the country about them.

“The bulldozers have sparked uproar across the country.” The BJP is illegally declaring its opponents’ construction illegal and putting bulldozers to work. “The public will now initiate a movement to investigate the legality of the BJP’s construction of residences, offices, and business premises and will bring the truth to light,” Yadav added.

In another tweet, the SP lawmaker accused the ruling party of making the bulldozer a “symbol of its unlawful authority” and proposed that the BJP make it their symbol.

“Muslims and other minorities, as well as backward and Dalits, are their targets.” Hindus are now becoming victims of their frenzy. The BJP is actually driving a bulldozer through the Constitution itself,” he added.

Before the bulldozers began working on the unlawful building, the CRPF, Delhi Police, and the force began a flag march in the vicinity. Deependra Pathak, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police for Law and Order, and a number of other senior officers arrived at the scene.
