Boney Kapoor feels ‘horrible’ after Maidaan set damaged due to Cyclone Tauktae

Boney Kapoor will have to rebuild the Maidaan set for the third time. He first had to separate it in the middle of last year from coronavirus nationwide.

Boney Kapoor was deeply affected by Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan’s injuries at Cyclone Tauktae. The filmmaker will now have to stop for the third time. He first had to separate it during the past year for a nationwide coronavirus. Kapoor, in a recent interview, shared that during his second setup, he could also use a lot of content. However, in this case, 70-80% of the set is in ruins, and it will have to be rebuilt from scratch.

“What I am experiencing is horrible. I don’t want to be reminded of it. When I think of stress or feelings of loss, I will start to cry. When I think about excessive budgeting and spending, I might get frustrated. Mera dil hi nahin kar raha ke set dekhu abhi. (I don’t even feel like watching the set right now) “Boney Kapoor told Hindustan Times.

But the filmmaker thanks God that no one was injured when the storm hit Maidaan sets. The 40-50 people in attendance left unscathed.

The Maidaan team has shot 50% of the games and needs a new set of the remaining 20 days. I had eight-building rooms, 26 toilets, different sets – but most of them are gone. We had a set of eight cameras and special equipment to capture the players while we were playing. ”

Recently, a few reports have suggested that game makers are considering a hybrid release model for their film. However, manufacturers have dismissed the reports.

“We would like to share that there is currently no discussion with any payment platform for each view of the film ‘Maidaan’. Our focus, at the moment, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and in full compliance with Government Protocols. Please contact us for any news about Maidaan, ”the statement read.

In light of the golden years of Indian football, Maidaan includes Ajay Devgn as the famous football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Apart from him, Amit Sharma’s director also plays Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh. In the meantime, it is scheduled to hit theaters on August 13, 2021.
