PNB – There is big news for the customers of the second largest public sector bank in the country, namely the Punjab National Bank (PNB). If you are paying by check from Punjab National Bank, let us tell you that the bank is going to make a big change in the check payment rules.

PNB will now implement the Positive Payment System (PPS) from April 4, 2022. Customers will be required to complete verification before paying the check. In case of non-verification, the bank will now return the check. The bank made this decision in view of the increase in cases of fraud.

What is the Positive Pay System?
Giving information about it to customers, the bank shared the information on its official website. According to the news published on the bank’s website, from April 4, 2022, the bank has made the positive payment system mandatory for making check payments. Through this system, digital or branch verification became necessary after issuing a check for 10 lakhs.

All customers are required to write their account number, check number, check issue date, amount and payee name on checks over 10 lakhs. For this, customers can also have their checks verified via the PNB application, i.e. PNB One. Customers can also call 1800-180-2222 or 1800-103-2222 for information on this.
