Xiaomi is expected to launch a new premium tablet in China on Tuesday. The Mi Pad 5 will be unveiled
along with the Mi Mix 4 smartphone and a few other devices, expected to be Xiaomi’s second mega launch event of the year, after March when it launched the Mi 11 Ultra.
The smartphone maker has been mocking the launch of the Mi Pad 5 for the past few days and has also ridiculed tablet design in official offerings.
It posted a picture of the sales box, which is quite small, suggesting that there may be no charger inside it.
The company has also secured support for accessories such as an external keyboard and stylus.
There are several tablets that include Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Tab S series that provide the same support for compatible devices.
Like Samsung, Xiaomi is expected to collect style and tablet while users may need to purchase additional keyboard.
However, we can expect the same assurance during the launch event. Xiaomi will announce the price of the Mi Pad 5 during the same event again.
Xiaomi has also unveiled a new teaser for the launch of the Mi Pad 5 which now suggests that the tablet screen may have rounded corners.
The yellow also shows the keyboard cover page with leather texture on top.
Another poster made by Xiaomi earlier confirmed the support of the script and showed us a flat tablet frame with an antenna line, which promotes metal construction and LTE / 5G connectivity.
Xiaomi has not shown any specifications or features of the device but, recently, appeared on the Geekbench list with model number M2105K81AC, which gives us an idea of what to expect.
The listing suggests that the tablet will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset that will be powered by an Adreno 650 GPU.
The tablet is connected that comes with 6GB of RAM and runs Android 11 out of the box. Rumors first surfaced that the new Xiaomi tablet would feature a 10.95-inch IPS LCD 120Hz display.
For safety purposes, the Mi Pad 5 is said to include a fingerprint sensor placed on the side.
The Mi Pad 5 may have a dual rear camera system like most modern tablets.
This may contain a 20-megapixel main lens and a second 13-megapixel lens. The tablet will pack an 8720mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.
