Reddit is starting to release TikTok-like video feeds for iOS users

The online chat forum Reddit has announced a new video feed for its mobile system that will make it easier to view social network content in one place.

This feature expands the Reddit platform from just conversations to creating a short form that is exactly the same as the TikTok video format.

TikTok is growing exponentially and many other social media platforms are inspired by short-form video ideas, not just trying to imitate such styles.

For example, Instagram introduced Reels after being updated with 15-seconds TikTok videos and Spapchat released the light.

Users of the Reddit app may notice a new button on the right side of the search path when they open this app, which was first unveiled to iOS users on Friday.

The experience is very different from TikTok. You can browse a direct, endless video list containing content from the world-wide Reddit.

When a video is displayed, the name of the poster and the subreddit from which the video appears will appear. Collaborative options include voting and voting down, as well as commenting, presenting and sharing.

The app will continue to show videos of those users you have subscribed to and other types of videos related to your interest.

Reddit acquired TikTok rival, Dubsmash, back in December and has confirmed plans to incorporate its technology to do new things down the line.

The creative video app is not involved in this particular feature, but Reddit still intends to incorporate its video and other completely new tools into its advanced platform.

The platform declined to comment on whether its video player will work with an algorithm to display content and will provide recommendations.

A spokesman for Reddit said, “The company’s mission is to connect the community with the people. After that, Reddit’s video team tasked with bringing the video to the public.

Over the past year, our goal was to create a unified video player, and rethink the player interface to match what users (young and old) expect when it comes to in-app video player especially commenting, viewing, engaging and discovering new content and communities with video. ”

The feature is currently being rolled out to iOS users, but it’s still unclear when users will be available on other platforms.
