About 6,000 CA students have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to learn about the ICAI CA Exams 2021 which will be held July 5-20 in offline mode at India base.
The applicants wrote: “We, a group of 6000 students, are pursuing a professional course in public accounting, but also, we are ordinary citizens of India and as such have the basic right to life that our Constitution conferred on every citizen of India in Article 21.
This will be the first Indian level exam after the 2nd deadly wave which is not yet completed in the southern states and 3 states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala are on high alert amid the Delta Plus variant.
“We would also like to report that over 3 million students will be taking these exams from all over India and the majority of them are not even vaccinated with at least a single dose of the vaccine. With reference to your address to the nation dated June 7, 2021, you yourself called on the nation to get vaccinated and announced extensive vaccination programs for those aged 18 and over and Niti Aayog leader Dr. VK Paul, also said in his various statements: “Vaccination is the only key to get back to normal” and to save us from emerging mutants of Delta Vanant, “the letter read.
The applicants in the letter said, “For us students, health and safety is of the utmost importance,” we humbly want to ask you, sir, if we CA students are not in the category “students of our own prime minister?” We want to submit sir, we don’t want cancellation of exams, but vaccination, something that you yourself insist on the CA Students who are going to sit for these exams belong to the 18-23 age group years and it will also be injustice with these students as their family members too if they are pressured to show up for these 15-day physical exams without giving them the opportunity to be vaccinated. As the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) releases admission cards for the CA foundation exams, intermediate and final exams which are scheduled for July, students across the country are took to Twitter and again urged the institute to include an opt-out option facilitated the exam of the CA May / July session and allowing candidates to postpone their application with an additional attempt other than the November 2021 attempt.
