2021 CLASS 12 BOARD EXAMS: Recent UPDATE students need to know

PIL was filed by Tony Joseph, who argued that the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 would be a bad decision for students.

Amid growing controversy over the cancellation of the CBSE 12 Board Exam 2021 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases nationwide, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) lawsuit was filed in the Supreme Court against the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Examination 2021.

PIL was submitted by Tony Joseph, a teacher from Kerala. Joseph said in his application that the cancellation of the CBSE 12 Board Exam 2021 would be a wrong decision for Class 12 students.

“The Section 12 examination is an important part of a student’s life and is essential for admission to higher education institutions,” the complaint said.

It is interesting to note that last week a PIL was filed in the high court seeking the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 and the 12 board examinations conducted by the Indian School Certification Examination Council (CISCE). The petition suggested that CBSE and CISCE should assess Class 12 students using the ‘performance method’ within a set time frame.

An application for the cancellation of the CBSE 12 Board Exam 2021 was lodged by attorney Mamta Sharma.

“Most of the teachers and heads of institutions are very happy to do the exams. Educational experts have chosen that tests should not be postponed and should be done using digital staff, ”said Joseph.

Joseph said the results on the basis of internal assessment would be “unfair” because in the 2021-22 academic year, “no teacher has ever seen students physically.”

Meanwhile, CBSE has already announced that a decision will be made on the cancellation of Grade 12 students and the Board will officially inform students of its decision.
