YouTube Removes Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh Videos by Post-Poll Violence

West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh on Friday shared YouTube videos of alleged post-coercion violence to the government, but website officials have removed them as they violate public guidelines.

YouTube has been forced to remove the pieces shared by Ghosh on Twitter as there were “violent” scenes but that is the reality in West Bengal, said BJP spokesman Shamik Bhattacharya.

In his Twitter account, Ghosh posted the videos and captions: “One of the great achievements of the Trinamool Congress government in the last two months”.

However, visuals have been removed by YouTube immediately with the message: “Video removed due to violation of YouTube Community Guidelines.”

The video sharing website removes posts that violate its Community Guidelines “designed to ensure the safety of our community”.

It pulls content in violation of its policies regarding hate speech and harassment, spam and deceptive practices, violent or explicit content policy and violations of its terms of service.

Ghosh, a Member of Parliament, on July 21 said more than 30 BJP activists had been killed in post-election violence in West Bengal.

BJP state official could not be reached for comment on video removal,

Bhattacharya, however, said, “Violence was brutal, surpassing all civilization. That is why YouTube is shocked and forced to remove videos.

As our group has been saying for more than two years with the NHRC, this is a real situation in West Bengal.”

In a lawsuit filed by the Trinamool Congress government, a committee set up by the NHRC on a Calcutta Supreme Court order to investigate allegations of human rights abuses during post-election violence, said in its report that the state in the state was a sign of “Law of Ruler” instead of “Rule of Law”.

West Bengal Prime Minister and TMC chief executive Mamata Banerjee on July 22 said the BJP was using fake videos to support “mixed stories” about post-election violence.
