Xiaomi mocks the new Mi Notebook laptop with a back-up keyboard, it could start soon

A few days ago Xiaomi introduced the first RedmiBook laptops in India, and will soon also launch new Mi Notebooks. Two Xiaomi executives on Wednesday afternoon scoffed at an upcoming laptop on their official Twitter handle.

Mi India Marketing Lead Karthik MS shared a photo of a laptop with an illuminated keyboard, confirming that it will be launched in India soon.

A different image of the same product was also shared by Xiaomi’s Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy.

None of these tweets indicated the name of the upcoming product or the possible timeline for its launch.

Images show only the illuminated keyboard on the next computer.

However, India Today Tech has learned that this new device will be part of the My Notebook series and could start launching in India soon.

In fact, this could be the Mi Notebook Pro X 15 launched in China earlier this year.

That’s because the Mi NoteBook Pro X15 is a Xiaomi portable computer with full-size keyboard and a built-in light sensor that allows the machine to automatically adjust the keyboard brightness and display according to the surroundings.

Although it is a similar product, Xiaomi can introduce it with a different name to India a strategy that has been following for a while.

If this is the case with a laptop, then you should expect a 15.6-inch 3.5K Samsung E4 OLED display with a pixel density of 226 pixels per inch and a height of 16:10.

The machine should be powered by the 11th generation processor Intel Core i7, paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM. With this, Xiaomi can provide up to 1TB of SSD storage.

The laptop must come with a large 80Whr battery that is supposed to bring up to 11.5 hours of video playback in one case.

The laptop supports 130W fast charging and can charge up to 50 percent of the battery in just 25 minutes.

With Xiaomi introducing the RedmiBook line-up to identify less expensive buyers and the RedmiBook Pro priced at Rs 49,999, it would be safe to assume that the new Mi NoteBook could cost around Rs 60,000.

Also, the company has never raised anything with prices yet. You should expect to hear more about this as we approach the launch.
