Twitters may never let you forget about the tweets you have edited

Twitters users will eventually find one feature they’ve been looking for – the edit button. Many years after former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced that a small blogging site might not get the edit button, Twitter proved him wrong by announcing it would be so.

It actually works on the edit button and, according to each source, Twitter will keep a record of all the tweets even if you use the edit button.

Tipster Jane Manchun Wong reported that Twitter will create a new tweet if you click the edit button instead of modifying an existing tweet.

“It looks like Twitter’s Tweet editing method is unchanged, as it is, instead of converting Tweet text into the same Tweet (the same ID), it also creates a new Tweet with modified content, and a list of older Tweets before of that plan, ”Wong tweeted.

This clearly means that although you may have forgotten what changes you have made to the tweet, Twitter will never forget them. It is now unclear whether Twitter will keep a record for personal use or whether information about the planned tweet will be accessible only to all fans or account holders.

Twitter planning to address its editing button is something we only know when the feature has been passed on to users. Reports also suggest that users can get access to this feature only if they pay for it. That is, Twitter can make it available to Twitter Blue users.

Earlier, Twitter had written on its official account that it was working with a new edit button. Twitter also refused to give credit to Tesla CEO Poll Elon Musk over whether the social media site should receive a edit button or not.

While Twitter works with the edit button is good news for users, it raises some security concerns that Twitter should face before releasing the edit button.

Commenting on security concerns, Twitter VP for Consumer Products, Jay Sullivan, wrote on Twitter, “Planning has been a much-needed feature on Twitter for many years.

People want to be able to correct mistakes (sometimes embarrassing), typos and hot picks right now. They are currently working on this by deleting and writing on Twitter again.

Aside from things like time limits, controls, and transparency about what is planned, Scheduling can be misused to change the public chat record. Defending the integrity of that public discussion is a priority for us as we approach this work.
