Twitter Adds the Power to Limit Responses to Tweets After Posting

Twitter adds expands the ability to allow users to decide who can respond to their tweets or have been posted on a social media platform.

Twitter users already had the ability to limit responses to their tweets, but selections had to be made before tweet was published.

Users can limit responses to only the following users, the users mentioned in the tweet, or keep it open to everyone – the final default setting for each tweet.

The new setting will be released to Twitter for Android, iOS, and the Web.

Through a tweet, Twitter has announced a new expanding power to its users. The microblogging site introduced the option to choose who to respond to tweet last year.

But, as mentioned, it had to be done while tweeting. Users can now change this setting even after the tweet has been published by clicking on the three-dot menu in the tweet and selecting the Change to Reply option.

That will lead users to three options – Everyone, People you follow, and only people you mentioned.

The new feature gives people more power over who can respond to their tweets. The power to change who can interact with a tweet can help Twitter users avoid harassment and extinction.

Twitter has not said when the update will be released to all users, but it seems the uninstall process has begun. 360 independent gadgets ensure a new feature. If you do not see a new feature yet, you may have access to your account soon.

Twitter also suggests some ideas that will allow users to share their tweets only with ‘trusted friends’ – similar to Instagram’s ‘Close Friends’ feature that allows users to share stories with selected followers.

Twitter is working on another feature called “Facets” that will help them split their tweets after publication. “Facets” will allow users to publish multiple tweets under different handles from a single account.

Currently, users who wish to publish the same tweet from multiple handles should switch accounts and rewrite.
