Truecaller has launched a new direction for COVID Hospital for Indian citizens seeking help during the epidemic. The guide includes the telephone numbers and addresses of designated COVID-19 hospitals from many provinces across the country, which can be obtained from official government information.
The directory is built-in app and can be accessed from the menu or dialer. This guide aims to provide you with contact details for a hospital address that you can call to check the availability of a hospital bed.
With COVID-19 cases rising again in the country, rising to more than 3.5 lakh a day, hospitals are now operating in greater volume. Since empty beds are a small utility in hospitals, residents rush to look for one at another COVID-19 facility in their city. Truecaller is looking to assist with that research with its new COVID Hospital guide available within the app or dialer.
The company says this feature is available for Android beta users right now, but should be available to all Android users soon. There is no word on its iOS availability yet.
The new COVID Hospital catalog is in the upper left corner of the dial and clicking it will show you the different cities with the information collected in alphabetical order.
Click on your city and Truecaller will show you a list of selected COVID-19 hospitals in that city, with their contact details and address details. Citizens can then use this information and contact the hospital to get the information they need.
“We wanted to quickly introduce a simple guide to the key numbers of COVID-related services. We started with this hospital list and are working to add confirmed sources soon. This is one of the many ways in which we assist with COVID’s relief efforts.
We offer the support of the whole organization and the Truecaller platform, to anyone we can help, ”Truecaller India manager and chief product manager Rishit Jhunjhunwala said in a statement.
