Tata Steel supplies 300 tonnes of oxygen per day for COVID treatment: CEO TV Narendran

The CEO and Managing Director of the company T. V. Narendran said Tata Steel supplies up to 300 tonnes of oxygen oxygen from its plants to hospitals.

He was speaking at a virtual session of the 6th National Leadership Conclave organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA).
“We are supplying 200-300 tonnes of oxygen per day in hospitals in and around Jharkhand, plus we have also started supplying from our plant to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha … going by some center to West Bengal Coordination, “he said.

On steel prices, Narendran said it would remain at a high level and could exceed the prices it had in the last decade.

While Hot Rolled Coil (HRC) in India is trading at around Rs 58,000 per tonne in April, international steel prices have been hovering around USD 735-740 per tonne since 1 April 2021.
Domestic as well as international prices are 50 per cent higher than a year ago.

“We should not be enthused by today’s steel prices … We expect steel prices in the next decade to be higher than steel prices in the last decade and I believe that steel prices in the next decade will be the first More than that. ” In the last decade, ”he said.
