Uttarakhand Election Result 2022: The counting of votes for the 70-member Uttarakhand Assembly is underway and so far, it appears as though the BJP will be returning to power. Exit polls had predicted a hung assembly this time, but so far, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has lost his seat in Khatima by 6,951 votes against Congress’ Bhuwan Kapri. Harish Rawat also lost his seat in the Lalkuwa constituency.

The Election Commission will publish the winners’ list for the 2017 Uttarakhand assembly polls later tonight on their official website. BJP won with a majority of 56 seats, while the Congress only managed to win 11 seats.

The Uttarakhand assembly election took place on February 14, with a voter turnout of 65.37%. 67.20% of female voters and 62.6% of male voters participated in the election.
