Slack Find Fixed Send Message Feature, Users Can Now Set Custom Date, Messaging Time

Slack, a workplace messaging app, has a new feature that allows users to edit the message to be sent later in the day. Updates are downloaded to desktop apps for Slack, Android, and iOS.

The new feature will allow users to edit messages up to 120 days in advance and also provide the ability to set the date and time of the message process.

The update has been released to users gradually and all users will be able to access it in the coming days.

The Black Renewal was first seen by The Verge. The edited messaging feature adds a new drop-down menu next to the ‘send a message’ paper icon to the desktop application.

When you click, users will be provided with a menu that will allow users to organize messages to be sent as direct messages, room, or group thread over time.

Android and iOS users can access the menu by long pressing on the paper plane icon in the app.

At the time of writing, Gadgets 360 was unable to verify the feature.

Slack left a note on his help page, “This feature is being released slowly. We appreciate your patience as we pass it on to all customers.”

According to the Verge shared screenshot, the slack-edged messaging feature offers three options for users – Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.

Monday morning at 9:00 am (that may indicate the next day tomorrow), and Custom Time.

Users can also view, edit, and manage scheduled messages anytime before they are sent.

Slack will provide its users with a Fixed tab that will have five options – Edit Message, Reset Message, Send Message, Cancel Schedule and Save Drafts, and Delete Message.
