NEET Council: MCC to conduct four rounds of quota advice in India

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, MoHFW, on December 18 said that it will be holding 4 rounds of all India quota counselling from the academic year 2021-2022 onwards for NEET UG and PG admission.

On December 18, the Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) of DGHS, MoHFW, said it will organize 4 sets of quota advice in India starting in the 2021-2022 academic year for admission to NEET UGs and PG. The four counseling cycles include: two regular rounds, one remedial board, and one vacant wandering the quota for all of India.

“This is for information to all participating states / UTs, participating universities / institutes / colleges and participating NEET-UG / PG applicants that, MCC will be conducting online 04 rounds of All India Quota Counseling (AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2 , AIQ Mop-Up Round and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round) from the academic year 2021-22 in accordance with the Ordinance of 16/12/2021 in Special Authorization of Appeal (C) No (s). 10487/2021 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, ”the MCC said in a notification available on its official website.

“It is further informed that no AIQ seats will be returned to the respective states after the completion of AIQ Round 2,” the notification also states. There will be no new registrations for AIQ Stray Vacancy Round candidates.

MCC offers advice for 15% UG seats and 50% PG for All India Quota seats.
