WhatsApp closes multiple India accounts every month and the same image remains in February. In line with IT regulations for 2021, Meta’s instant messaging platform has released its February 2022 report, which states that between February 1 and 28, more than 10 lakh WhatsApp accounts (1.4 million will be specified) were blocked.
These accounts may be blocked for engaging in harmful activities on the site, such as harassing other users, forwarding false information, and more.
“Over the years, we have consistently invested in Artificial Intelligence and other state-of-the-art technology, data scientists and technicians, and processes, to keep our users safe in our environment.
Contains details of user complaints received and the corresponding WhatsApp action taken, as well as WhatsApp anti-harassment measures in our area.
As captured in a recent monthly report, WhatsApp closed more than 1.4 million accounts in February, “a WhatsApp spokesman said in an official statement.
Repeatedly, the company also stated that all messages on stage are nailed to the end, which means that no one other than the sender and receiver of the message can read the message. Even WhatsApp or parent company, Meta (formerly Facebook).
The monthly report also highlights the steps taken by the messaging app to prevent harmful behavior in the area. “We are very focused on prevention because we believe it is much better to stop dangerous things from happening in the first place than to see them after the damage that has happened,” the company notes.
WhatsApp also develops harassment detection technology that works in three stages of account life – in subscription, during messaging, and in response to negative feedback, sent in the form of user reports and blocking.
“A team of analysts added these programs to investigate serious cases and help improve our performance over time,” WhatsApp said.
