JioPhone Next goes on sale from September 10: Specs, features, expected Indian price, and what we know so far

The JioPhone Next, launched two months ago during the 44th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries in June this year, is set to go on sale on September 10.

It is a product of Jio’s standard and was developed in partnership with Google Inc.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance, and Executive Director said JioPhone would be the most affordable smartphone in the world.

While Jio has already launched two feature phones, the JioPhone Next, which will be released on September 10, will be the company’s first smartphone.

Jio made it clear when the smartphone was announced. However, the new leak has highlighted some of the key features of the upcoming affordable smartphone.

JioPhone Next will ship with Android 11 (Go Edition) and install a single rear camera, as well as an HD + display.

The smartphone will have a 1440×720 resolution display and Qualcomm’s 215 level entry chipset which also enables Nokia 1.4. It will come with Google Camera Go and Duo Go apps pre-installed.

It will have 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMC 4.5 storage. Many features on JioPhone Next add dual support for SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2.

On the camera side, the JioPhone Next is expected to feature a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13B10 rear lens that supports HDR, FHD + video recording, and has night mode.

It has an 8-megapixel GC0834W front camera by GalaxyCore.

As Mukesh Ambani has correctly suggested that the smartphone will be the cheapest 4G smartphone in the world, At Rs 4,999, Tel A53 Pro is currently the cheapest 4G smartphone available in India. So it is possible that Jim’s new smartphone will cost less than Rs. 5,000.

JioPhone Next is the company’s efforts to make 4G handsets easily accessible to those in India who still rely on 2G networks.

Reliance Jio has announced that the smartphone will be available for purchase from September 10, the day before Ganesh Chaturthi in India.

Jio, founded by Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani back in 2016, disrupted India’s telecommunications sector, lowering the prices of telecommunications services.

In the years following Jio’s launch, the telecommunications industry merged with a number of lucrative companies selling their business.

There are now only four players left in the industry; Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and state-owned BSNL. Currently, Jio is a market leader with over 431 million subscribers (43.1 crores).
