IQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro was launched on January 5th

The sports-based sub-brand IQOO 9 Vivo is preparing to launch a new series of smartphones under its flagship segment. The new smartphone will be called iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. According to a recently leaked poster, the device will be unveiled on January 5th.

As can be seen in the picture below, the iQOO 9 has a running line design and a large camera island with three sensors in the back.

IQOO has taken over Weibo, a microblogging website, to share a new photo and let us know that the device will be launched in China soon.

Additionally, in a Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some photos of vanilla QOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. The photos show the intended design of the upcoming smartphone similar to the caption image shared by iQOO.

However, the images shared by the tipster have a dragon-shaped design and the iQOO logo.

It is envisaged that a triple rear camera setting will be displayed on the smartphone, and will feature features such as Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Ultra Sensing. Two new smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Both iQOO 9’s and iQOO 9’s Pro are expected to have the same specifications with just a few changes. The iQOO 9 Pro may have a 6.78 inch QHD + OLED display, while the non-pro model will have a 1080p flat OLED display.

The iQOO 9’s was purchased to acquire a 120Hz 2K AMOLED panel, a second-generation standalone display, double-pressed shoulder buttons, and an improved temperature control design. The iQOO 9 will have a smaller battery with the same charging power.

Devices should be paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. IQOO will bring its visual RAM feature with the creation of OriginOS Ocean. These devices may come with Android 12.

The Pro model may also have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The iQOO 9 Pro is also said to be similar to the standard model with 120W wireless charging and the device may support faster wireless charging.
