Intel launches Core 9-12900KS as the world’s fastest desktop processor, starting at around Rs 56,000

Intel has come out with all the details, including price and availability, of its new 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900KS. Considering “the world’s fastest desktop processor,” the new Intel chipset will be on sale worldwide from April 5.

Intel is offering a “recommended customer price” of $ 739, or about Rs 56,000. So we can expect it to cost anywhere between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 in India.

Outstanding – apart from the world’s fastest marker, Intel claims that the Core i9-12900KS delivers 5.5 GHz turbo frequency. In context, its rival AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X comes with a basic 4.8 GHz clock, so expect significant performance speed on the new Intel processor.

Speed processing speed is supported by Intel proprietary technologies such as Thermal Velocity Boost and Adaptive Boost Technology.

And like any other high-end processor, Intel claims that the Core i9-12900KS is intended to provide a “ultimate game experience” even for the most advanced players.

With the Core i 9-12900KS, Intel has targeted “enthusiasts and gamers” who want the fastest processing speed available in the market. In numbers, it comes with 16 cores, including eight Performance-cores and eight Efficient-cores, as well as 24 threads.

Performance maps up to 5.5 GHz max turbo frequency, 150W processor base base, and 30MB Intel Smart Cache.

The processor supports PCIe Gen 5.0 and 4.0, up to DDR5 4800 MT / s and DDR4 3200 MT / s. Intel says the Core i9-12900KS is compatible with existing Z690 motherboards with the latest BIOS.

Intel says the new processor will be available to “retailers worldwide” as a processor in the box. Aside from direct sales, we should see it integrated into high-end computers from Intel’s OEM partners soon.
