Google is finally introducing the annual ringtone options for Nest Doorbells

Every year, Google offers seasonal ringtones to its Nest Doorbells. These options are available for a short period of time, after which the video door bells return to the old ding-dong sound.

However, in this case, Google added new New Year ringtone options with the upcoming Halloween update.

According to The Verge, Google will be launching its first Halloween ringtones next month. Along with the ringtones of the year, the company will also release six “always green” ringtones.

While Google did not disclose details about these songs, The Verge notes that they will be available year-round, and users will be able to set them up using Google Home or Nest apps.

However, unlike ringtones with Halloween themes, future green ringtones will not be available on the old (cordless) Nest Doorbell.

Ringtones with Halloween themes, which will be available until October 31, include bad laughter, bone marrow, spooky crow, boo Ghost, weeping werewolf, wackling witch, and more.

These ringtones will play both from the door itself and from other Google Nest speakers or displays that you have in your house.

You will also find the option to play an hour-long playlist of Halloween-related sounds and music using your Nest speakers and a game with Halloween themes on Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max.

When Halloween is over, your doorbell will return to the default option. However, you will be able to choose a different seasonal option until the end of December.

Google has not disclosed which ringtones will be available after October 31, but we expect to see options with holiday themes related to Christmas, Hannukkah, New Year, and Kwanzaa.

If you have one of the new models, you will also be able to choose new ringtones that remain green after October 31. Your Nest Doorbell will not return to the default options after the holiday season if you do so.

We expect Google to share more information about green ringtones available in the coming days. We’ll review this post in more detail as soon as we learn more.
