Disney Plus will introduce an affordable ad-supported subscription program this year

Disney Plus is ready to announce a new low-cost subscription-based subscription program. The giant has announced that the program will be launched later this year.

The program will be launched for the first time in the US. Later it will be expanded to other countries. Disney + Hotstar currently offers three programs in India starting at Rs 299 per month.

“Expanding access to Disney Plus for a large audience at a low price is a win-win for everyone – our buyers, advertisers, and interviewers. More buyers will be able to access our amazing content.

Advertisers will be able to reach a wider audience, and our narrators will be able to share their amazing work with more fans and families, “said Kareem Daniel, chairman, Disney media and entertainment distribution, in a statement.

Disney + did not disclose the price of the new system, but it will be offered at a cheaper price than the ad-free version. The currently non-advertising version offers $ 7.99 (approximately Rs 610) per month.

In a recent revenue stream, Disney reported having 129.8 million Disney + subscribers, including 5.9 million Disney + Hotstar subscribers.

By offering affordable subscription plans to users, Disney aims to reach 230-260 million by 2024. Disney is expected to announce the official launch date soon. The registration process will be provided first to users in the United States and Canada.

In India, Disney + Hotstar offers Super and Premium programs. The monthly premium plan costs Rs 299 / month, and the annual premium plan costs Rs 1499.

Disney + Hotstar also sells another subscription program in India, called Super plan. The plan is priced at Rs 899 per year. The Super system supports Full HD and the Premium system supports 4K video.
