Deep Sidhu was reportedly among those present when a group of farmers stormed the Red Fort and raised the Nishan Sahib, a flag that had previously been seen as the flag of Khalistan. Earlier on Monday, a Delhi court upheld its decision on Deep Sidhu’s bail application.

On January 31, Sidhu had posted a video on his verified Facebook account. In a 15-minute video message entitled ‘straight from my soul’, he was seen delivering a touching statement in Punjabi, which reads: “I am insulted… I had left my whole life behind, and I have come here to join the Punjabis in their protest. But now I am considered a heretic. ”

“All I did was raise my voice about your rights. For so many months I have met everyone on the streets, in tents. Now one man has been turned into a traitor, ”he told hundreds of farmers, who had been protesting at the Delhi border since November 26, against three farm rules.
