Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Q1 gains 27% to Rs 95 crore

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) on Friday reported a 26.68 percent increase in gross profit at $ 94.76 in the first quarter of June 30, 2021.

The company sent a profit of Rs 74.80 million in April-June last year, CGCEL said in a BSE file.Performance earnings increased by 45.87 per cent to Rs 1,050.48 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 720.10 crore over the corresponding financial year.

The total cost was Rs 943.08 crore compared to Rs 637.67 crore.Revenue from the consumer electronics sector (ECD) was Rs 884.41 crore and lighting products at Rs 166.07 crore.”The ECD segment has shown strong growth in all categories and geographies.

The B2C LED lighting business has kept track of its growth. While the cost of inventory remains, timely actions have reduced their impact,” said CGCEL Executive Director Shantanu. Khosla.CGCEL shares on Friday traded at Rs 458.85 each on the BSE, down 3.15% from the previous close.
